Level 1: A 7% decline from the previous day's S&P 500 closing value triggers a 15-minute trading halt across all U.S. exchanges, unless it occurs at or after 3:25 PM ET, in which case trading continues.
Level 2: A 13% decline triggers another 15-minute halt, with the same 3:25 PM ET cutoff.
Level 3: A 20% decline halts trading for the remainder of the day, regardless of the time it occurs.
