Dont have time to write long artile this weekend, maybe later. But I think there lack a common definition of different investment style here
1: 定投：I think we all know what this means so no need to discuss further
2: 趨勢：This is about invest into the long term trend of a market. There are many definition of what a trend is. One could argue that US market is always on a uptrend in a 100 year cycle。I am a bit practical and tend to think a trend is what is defining a market in a 1-3 year cycle.
The key charatcer of a trend is that stock may go up or down every week, every day, or every minute, but in the end, it tends to go much higher in a uptrend, or lower in a downtrend
3: 波段： Within a trend, stock constantly makes counter move to its main trend. So, in a uptrend, stock could go lower, sometimes for a significant period of time. 波段 could be a few weeks，or it could be a few months. Many people confuse about 波段 with 趨勢。
4: 短期或者日內交易
People from these 4 different investment styles will "NEVER" be able to convince the other camp because they are "fundamentally" different principals.

Finally, once you have a system to determine "what to buy" and "when to buy and sell", you also need to determine "how to buy"
比如說你可以隻買股票，但也可以買Deep in the money leap (佩羅老太就搞這個）。你可以賣出股票，也可以買入put. 你可以用最簡單的期權交易，也可以用複雜的組合。在這方麵真的是五花八門。No one will ever be able to convince others on this topic, so, let's just drop it
