Economy class syndrome, also known as traveler's thrombosis or venous thromboembolism, is a condition that occurs when one sits in the same position for a long time, such as on an airplane. This can cause pressure to build up in lower legs, reducing blood flow and increasing the risk of blood clots forming. These clots can block thin veins.
