What I am most impressed with

is "no child" at home.  You are so young  - 50 with children in college.   

I have a few friends who retired at 50.

Paying tuition and retirement are not difficult with 9M assets.  Do 1031 exchange to have the rental houses in the high rental return areas. You do not need to touch your principle.
