可以租給有犯罪曆史的人嗎？

各位大佬：

申請人是個卡車司機， 信用很好，收入也不錯， 可是20多年前有個case：

UNLAWFUL CARRYING WEAPON

現在被女朋友給趕了出來，急需解決租房問題，（當然也不是特別急，他開18輪的，天天在路上）
