You should have a gas furnace for heating. In warmer place such as Texas. The AC cooling will normally last about 12 to 15 years and furnace will last about 20 to 30 years (Your blower motor and inducer motor are in the furnace box). If you system is under 10 years old, you may consider a repair. 

Put you thermostat fan control on "Fan on" position, if you feel reasonable strong air blowing out from your AC register vent, your blower motor most likely is good. $482 is a little bit too expensive for a inducer motor replacement.

Now is slow season for AC techs, you should have time to shop around or You may have another AC tech to get a second opions. 

Or it may be a good time to make it a DIY project.  both motor should only cost you around $100 and blower motor replacement will take a little bit more effort and time.
