I always believe, had she lived on, at some point in her writing career, she would be part of the forming of such a leadership. She got the character and the talent. No need to deny or stay away from one's Chinese legacy in order to become part of a leadership in US.  After all, loyalty to truth is the first requirement for a leadership of this type.
