I spoke with someone a while back and we agreed to that Chinatown would disappear soon enough. First, the second-generation Chinese immigrants wouldn't like to limit themselves to Chinatown. Second, the coming generations of immigrants would abruptly reduce in number as China becomes wealthier and wealthier. Third, they would come with more money and better education, thus no interest in maintaining a Chinatown.
The person I spoke with once worked in Wall street and lived in New York. He said, the Jewish communities had gone through these transformations and finally extinctions. There were still relics of "Jewish towns" there, but only as relics.
