From what I can see, you keep changing what you called as "ego", from a kind of "manifestation", to "illusion", to "thought". But the question still remains the same. If "ego" is not 自有永有, there is a question of when "ego" comes to be.
You can say "ego" is 自有永有, take it as "Self"'s thought, then you will resolve this issue. But I guess you will not agree that "ego" is 自有永有, will you? If you do, you will get even deeper problems in your belief systems.
I am not a materialist. I didn't even mention matters, materials at all. I am just raising some philosophical and logic questions.
It is logic consistent that
1) Self 是自有永有
2) Ego 不是自有永有
3) Ego is not an attribute of Self.
所以
4) Ego is created by Self.
