3. Shaq still doesn’t like Dwight. O’Neal, part of the TNT crew, likes to rag on Howard and he was at it again on Sunday night. At least, this time, Charles Barkley came a bit to Howard’s defense. Can’t wait for Game 2.
4. There is no ‘D’ in Jeremy Lin. That sounds harsh for all the other things that Lin does off the bench. But with the way Damian Lillard went past him a few times and the chance that Pat Beverley may be out with a knee injury, the point guard matchup swings Portland’s way.
5. Remember Rudy T. The Rockets’ blowing a 10-point lead in the last five minutes doesn’t quite equate with the infamous “Choke City” against the Suns in the 1993-94 playoffs. Houston was up by 20 in that one. But Tomjanovich reminded his Rockets to think of the things they did in getting the lead, not worry about how they lost it. It worked that time as the Rockets rallied from down 2-0 and went on to beat the Suns in Game 7 on their way to the NBA title..
