看上麵有同學還是沒有完全理解這個問題，俺就再絮叨幾句。

Knicks在決定是否match其它球隊給小林的offer時，關鍵是看合同的第三年。根據NBA的規定，小林的新合同前兩年最多隻能是5和5.22MM；至於第三年以後的offer，they don't care too much because Melo and other two big guys will be off their payroll then. They can control their own spending. 比較蛋疼的是第三年，得付甜瓜、小廝和老錢的大合同，同時，聯盟又要課重稅。火箭給小林的第一份合同是四年28MM，具體到每一年是：5，5，9，9。Knicks很快就放話說會match，並且豪邁地喊出：they would match any offer up to 1 billion. 抹淚接著就拋出了最後的毒藥：3年25MM，max the 3rd year。這兩份合同的第三年差了6MM，有興趣的同學可以算一下，豪華稅會差多少。大概是20+MM。

至於Knicks和火箭在小林合同這件事情上的交鋒，可以解讀成Hellmuth(Knics)跟Esfandiari(Rockets)之間的一手heads up。

Esfandiari: bet on the river card (28MM for 4)
Hellmuth: re-raise (would match any offer up to 1B)
Esfandiari: thinks Hellmuth is bluffing and goes all in
Hellmuth: fold

後麵Knicks攻擊小林的做法就是典型的Hellmuth reaction after losing a huge hand. ;-)
