當你年老 When you are old

當你年老銀發飄飄 When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
壁爐火前頭打瞌覺 And nodding by the fire, take down this book,

取下這書此詩慢瞧
從前模樣你會夢著 And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
眼影深深慈祥目照；Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;

人皆愛你優雅倩笑 How many loved your moments of glad grace,
愛你美麗儀態容貌 And loved your beauty with love false or true,

假意真情卻易混淆
唯他愛你朝聖魂竅，But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
愛你悲戚麵龐到老； And loved the sorrows of your changing face;

爐火映你躬身彎腰 And bending down beside the glowing bars,
略帶傷感私語悄悄 Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled

咕噥摯愛他怎先跑
山巒之巔自步逍遙 And paced upon the mountains overhead
夜幕遮麵星光閃耀。And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.
