我是希望D800在astrophotography上有優勢的,原因很簡單,我現在用的是D300。
時至今日,(execuse me for using English from here on as entering Chinese in iPad is painful :-<) Canon indeed is still evidently more popular than Nikon among astrophotographers. One evidence: Nebulosity, a quite polular affordable astroimaging software, just released its v3 in Feb 2012. Try finding Nikon in the supported camera pulldown menu ... you will be disappointed.
For the age of the links: yes, they are old and I warned your eyes ;-). But I believe the credibility is not as weak as their age suggests, given the status quo of DSLR applications in astrophotography as well as the credibility of Jerry Rodriguss, who just published an artical about using DSLR for planet imaging in the latest issue of Sky & Telescope magazine, which is an influential magazine in amateur astronomer community world wide. And the other link was referred in Jerry's website.
You may have over interpreted my sentiment in this topic. But I always like your philosophical way of thinking a lot and am often amazed and amused by the great sense of humor and the penertrating power of your comments.
