我覺得barbarian 就可以了，既點出了是對付北方的Nomads，因為他們同時威脅了中國和西方的文明，也照顧了英語讀者的文化理解，你加了注解，最後人家恍然大悟，哦，感情就象是那Attila 之於Roman Empire啊。
