歌曲 What is like -- Everlast (附歌詞)

在我初到美國的那一年，收音機裏總放這首歌，旋律給我留下了很深的印象。但是除了個別詞句以外，我一點也不明白歌詞裏說的是什麽。偶然我的一個美國朋友說她喜歡這個歌，我就問她歌詞裏講的什麽，她居然說她也聽不大明白。嗬嗬，大概跟我聽周傑倫的感覺有點象吧。

後來過了很久我又在廣播裏聽到它，這一次多聽懂了幾句。我就去查了一下歌詞，原來講的是“同理心”的道理。歌詞裏講述了無家可歸的乞丐，未婚先孕的少女，以及街頭混混家人的命運和苦衷，並反複吟唱，如果你想理解和判斷一個人，先穿著他/她的鞋子走一英裏。

中間我最喜歡的一段說： “我見到過富人乞求；我見到過好人犯錯；我見到過硬漢哭泣；我見到過弱者勝利；我見到過悲哀的人微笑，也見到過誠實的人撒慌。我看到過邪惡中的美好，積極中的消極，和這之間的一切。”

在人的兒童時代，世界好象是黑白分明的，但成年以後就知道現實其實複雜得多。這是一首給成年人的歌。
