I'd like people to help me to find a Chinese word!!!

What does it have to do with which culture is "up" or "down"?

Or do you think Chines culture is so inferior that we really don't have a word can express the same feeling as "dear" does?

If you don't know the Chinese word, no big deal, me neither, that's why I'm asking.
