We all know that money can't buy time. But why still there are millions that spend an extra hour in order to make that extra dollar which likely makes no difference in their life? Of course, some people do it not for money, but for responsibility or they just love their work. It saddened me when I heard yesterday that an old professor of mine died of a heart attack while on a trip of doing academic work. He did not have to overwork himself or even work over the age of 70.
The more I ruminate upon life, the more I realize mistakes I have made. If anything, for this year or any year after, I will work less and relax more. When I work, I will think less. When I read, I will only open half of my eyes. I admire no one who works hard, and admire no fancy car, no big house and no large paycheck. I won't go the extra mile to improve my English accent or correct my grammar. 'Eat well and sleep well', that is what I will tell myself. There is nothing better than that.
