臨時抱佛腳，決定把kindle app上的free popular classic英文讀物都讀一遍（有些作品中文的咱在國內小時候就讀過了），請問大俠們這樣是否會對英文寫作有幫助？我的提高英文寫作的目的是寫博士論文。

This depends on your major.  If your specialty is in science or engineering, you may want to study scientific or technical writings.  You can go ahead to read the classics and after a while, you will see if the readings help with your thesis writing.
