when i was hearing the part '我還企圖弄懂畢達哥拉斯所謂的用數字控製變化的力量', it prompted me to see exactly what the corresponding sentence was. since it was not there, i just checked online and saw it. i was surprised he was talking about Pythagorean. we all know the Pythagorean theorem, the gougu theorem in 九章。
i am glad that 密碼 once attempted russell's 數學原理。i did not read it for math is not something i am good at. but as far as i know, 數學原理 was not meant for someone with a faint mind.
by the way, Godel showed that 數學原理 could not be both consistent and complete. now 密碼 has more on his plate (besides 兒歌）。
