As they said, tax and death are two certainties in life. Joe Stack took the route of the latter to eliminate the first. But the note was so even tempered that it's hard to see the rage was so out of control. There's even that impression of intellectuality to it. No doubt the action was extreme, definitely stupid and insane, especially with his lack of consideration for other people's lives.

Ironically, it's also heroic. It takes a lot of courage to give all you have to make a statement. And what a statement he made...

One thing is for sure, I wouldn't call him a 'terrorist'.
