Personally thinking, it is hard to pronounce the words "William, million and value" if the /l/ sound is omitted in them.
However, for the following three word, it can be pronounced well with /l/ sound omitting in quick speech:
Revolution:
Volume;
Volunteer;
We can think of the /l/ being replaced with the /r/ consonant, although, in fact, it is not exactly the /r/ sound.
