Good morning. I am delighted to meet (or to see) my old and new friends here.
We are here not just to seek common ground and cooperation, but also to establish and open a new chapter on the bilateral trade and economic relationships.
As we all know, my old friend and my new counterpart, Mr. Garry Locke has just been appointed (as is unnecessary here) Secretary of Commerce of the U.S. government.
I would be happy to hear what are the plans and proposals for the Sino-American trade and economic relations from this newly appointed official as well as from Mr. Kirk, the newly appointed US Trade Representative.
