Or if you have had unpleasant or even dreadful experience, isn't it nice to forget it and only remember the pleasant experiences? :)

Unfortunately, it's hard for most people to forget the bad things that happened to them which could ruin the rest of their lives if they don't try to forget them. So most of us need to learn to forget at some point of our lives. :)
