Much better. That brings out another point

I feel we are reading these text just for reading, not for speaking English. I remember when I was at elementary school, we always say "老__師__好__" when the teacher came in to the room. Yet, we never say it the same way when we were outside that classroom. And nobody talks on the street like how we've been reading. So where is the disconnection? what are we trying to achieve by reading the NCE texts? We've all been taught like "What__is__that?", but i noticed my daughter came back from day care saying "Was that?", faster than we pronounce a single "What", yet she does not read. I think we've all been framed to study "Book English" for too long, we need to jump track and catch some "living English"

See. We have a witness of the benefits of NCE reading. -lilac09- 給 lilac09 發送悄悄話 lilac09 的博客首頁 (0 bytes) () 09/13/2009 postreply 13:45:15
