some techniques for pronuncing L sound

1. from continuous consonants s (and others) to l
a) start [s] sound from the correct lip and tongue positon;
b) keep [s] going while moing the tip of the tongue to touch the hard bump behind the up front teeth.

2. from discontinuous consonants p (and b, t, d)
a) put the lip into the position of [p], hold on the air;
b) move the tongue tip into the position of l (touching the hard bump behind the teath;
c) release the air

It is the same for the end sequence of "little"

3. s+p+l splendid
a) follow 1a to get into [p] position;
b) follow 2b+c to produce the sound [l]

The hard part for producing [l] is to move from a vowl to [l], such as "rules". There is no trick here.. People need to produce a vowl correctly and move into l position smoothly.
