My two cents:

1. The tip of the tongue touches the bump behind the upper teeth (usaully the BACK part of the bump behind the upper teeth)
2. The air flows out on both sides of the tongue
3. Sometimes the sound is already finished before the tip touches the bump when one speaks faster.
