I think it is a fiction. I am not sure the abnormal relationship could last so long in real life. That is why the story is very touching, and very complicated as well. I have no idea how to describe Michael and Hanna, how to understand Michael and Hanna....I am not able to put my ideas together and compose an essay.

By the way, movie version of the story is available now. Very touching and vivid too, starred by my favorites Kate Winslet and Ralph Feiness. Kate is very competitive to win the best leading actress of 2008 with this movie, I think. Really worth to watch.
