Following "better ... than ... " from yesterday's APAD, I think today's proverb emphsizes somewhat similar but another point of view. I couldn't think of a good Chinese 成語 for yesterday's, but would “知足者長樂” be a close match for today's?
Also remember seeing another similar proverb "one bird in hand is worth two in the bush" many times in discussions on a Canadian financial blog I used to go often.
Plan to take ferry and go to another island hiking today. After this, we'll have done hiking this year on all 5 Gulf Islands served by BC ferry. "Joy shared is joy multiplied", so will try to post some pics here for you all to enjoy.
