Putting someone away is putting someone in jail or in custody. This is not necessarily the case when it comes to putting away someone. The difference is subtle but the difference is there nonetheless. I don't like this particular NYC mayoral candidate, but he still enjoys free speech under the First Amendment to the US Constitution.
