The phrase Skipping stones is a metaphor for life. It begins with the careful search for the right stones. Then you must learn to throw the stone at the right angle. It takes patience, humility and confident determination. Success is not measured by the distance or number of skips, but by the poetry and grace of that stone in balance with that water. Magic.
There will be sadness, heartbreak and fear, but there is hope, laughter and beauty in second chances. Search for your stone and throw it without fear of failure. Be satisfied with each try and then try again. It’s the realization that everything gets the chance to glide, to skip, to splash in the water, until we too become water and sand. Peaceful.

I bet we all have done stone skipping and found it addictive at times, at least I did even recently. But I'm not good at it, three skips is my record comparing to 88 skips of the world record.
What made me think of the phrase are the recent world events, especially the newly imposed tariffs that started a trade war, like a sharp stone skipping on water. What can I say, politics is really full of drama ... ...
Oh, forgot to mention that I also found an interesting use of the phrase in https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Skipping%20Stones:
"When a deep individual has to keep their conversations shallow in order to relate or be understood by who they’re talking to.
“Why is Jerry talking about irrelevant things?”
“Oh, He’s just skipping stones because Mary is too shallow for a real conversation”
And a nice poem:
Have a nice Monday everyone!
