The power and beauty of Shakespeare

To be honest, I am never a fan of Shakespeare. I have trouble enough understanding modern day English, let alone the 16th century Shakespearean English.

Tonight, the 'Romeo and Juliet' directed by Diane Paulus made me realized the power and beauty of Shakespeare language.

The script in this production is very close to the classic, but the stage set and costumes are not tied to 16th century. And yet, I didn't feel anything amiss. Truly timeless.
