"As we navigate through life, we encounter countless challenges, setbacks, and unexpected events. While we may not be able to control what happens to us, we can control how we respond to it. As the saying goes, "Life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we react to it" - Charles R. Swindoll.
This mindset is particularly relevant in today's fast-paced and ever-changing environment. The ability to adapt to new challenges and situations is essential for success and/or survival .
At the core of this idea is resilience. Resilience is the ability to bounce back from setbacks, learn from failure, correct mistakes, and persevere in the face of adversity. It's an essential quality for anyone looking to succeed and be happy in life."

I joined a very good (English) Canadian financial forum in 2009 when I started to learn and manage our own investment. In there, one can choose a signature quote under one's posting. I have used a few interesting quotes for my signature in the past. Believe it or not, today's APAD is the current one I use (and has been for the past 6 or 7 years). Since I haven't posted on that site for awhile I forgot all about it until the yesterday morning, when I went there to post.
And It came at a time when I did need help ;-). After some tough and tiring time in the past few days, we went to downtown for lunch yesterday and then to the main city library to do a bit of reading. That was the time when the tide turned for me for the better. There was a group of musicians playing classical music in the library court yard, and we stopped and listened to "Summer" from the Four Seasons (by Vivaldi). The music was very peaceful and cheerful, it and together with positive thinking and stoic attitude of the phrase, melted away whatever was left in my mind,
To continue with the good tide, we went to the farm stand at the other end of town in afternoon and bought fresh-picked corn for supper, and also went and bought 8 dozen fresh figs from a family's backyard - for next few days' breakfast and to make jam which will last long enough to winter ... ...
10% and 90%, what a APAD and what a day!
