A Drey鬆鼠窩

In gale, it sways

             high in sky, squirrels never faint

 

A drey would not fail

             nor break, nor fall

 

Squirrels constructed it with leaves, pine needles,

             and furs from their tail

 

They are the best arborists, always know

             where to dwell, the fittest tree joint of all

 

When a wandering cayote trembles

             a drey of squirrels huddle

 

它在風中搖晃

高空中，鬆鼠不慌不忙

 

鬆鼠窩牢不可摧

不會解體，或從樹上落飛

 

鬆鼠們精心營造

用樹葉兒、鬆針，還有它們尾巴上的毛

 

它們是最佳樹藝家

精通何處安身——所有樹中最合適的樹杈

 

寒風中，一隻迷途的郊狼在顫抖

一窩鬆鼠相互依偎——眠休
