Neither 中國人的愚昧 nor 日本人的大愛but rather about individuals

The two cases (below) are not about "Neither 中國人的愚昧 nor 日本人的大愛," but rather about individuals. One cannot judge all Japanese people, nor can one generalize about the entire Chinese population. Eccentric individuals exist in every nation and every race.

It is both dangerous and irresponsible to use one individual's actions or characteristics to make assumptions or judgments about an entire group, whether that group is a nationality, ethnicity, race, or any other category. Such generalizations oversimplify complex realities and can lead to harmful stereotypes, discrimination, and prejudice.

Every person is unique because of a combination of their own experiences, beliefs, and circumstances. Even within a single community or culture, there is a wide diversity of perspectives, behaviors, and values. Failing to recognize this diversity can lead to unfair treatment and unjust conclusions.

Furthermore, attributing the actions of a few individuals to an entire group ignores the broader societal factors at play. It disregards the complexities of social, economic, and historical contexts that contribute to individuals' behavior. By focusing solely on individual instances, we risk overlooking systemic issues and perpetuating harmful narratives that harm entire communities.

Therefore, it is essential to approach each person as an individual, recognizing their unique qualities and avoiding blanket judgments based on stereotypes or generalizations. Instead, fostering understanding, empathy, and open-mindedness can lead to more inclusive and equitable interactions within and across diverse communities.

作家、中國人民大學文學院教授閻連科先生日前獲得美國紐曼華語文學獎紀念獎章，頒獎儀式於2021年3月10日下午在中國人民大學逸夫會堂舉行。在頒獎儀式上，閻連科先生發表了獲獎感言《一個比世界更大的村莊》。

他舉了兩個例子，1945年，一位在中國的日本士兵，他穿著破爛、身上掛彩，拄著拐杖，從口袋裏摸出一顆糖，給了一位中國小女孩，那居然是一顆糖，人生中從來沒吃過的，是那樣的甜，這位中國小女孩感動了，七十年來，她都記得那顆糖的滋味和那個日本士兵的臉，終生都渴望還給那個日本士兵一些什麽去。

第二個例子看上去則是深刻刻畫了閻連科先生心中那部分醜陋、野蠻、奸詐、殘忍的中國人，與日本士兵和被日本士兵一顆糖所感動的小女孩的美好不同，他們總想著往全世界去扔核彈，殺光全世界的人，毀滅全人類。

• 閻連科未見得是揚日貶中。例1可以理解為人性中的善不分國籍（但情境產生誤導）；例2則可以理解為鄰居大哥關心時事 - stonebench - 

老見中國被欺負；而閻又是軍人，跟軍人聊天兒沒話找話，以為對方責任重大，替對方著想。

所以例1可以說明善可以感招善。例2則說明不了中國人野蠻愚昧。
