Christmas is about Liberty

We may come from different countries, but we all have chosen to live in America, however imperfect it is.

We prefer "rule of law" to "rule by law."

The Roman Empire, which was ruled by law, promised everyone peace and prosperity, only if everyone would abide by whatever law a Caesar (Roman Emperor) happened to promulgate. People's liberty be damned.

Might is right. Really?

Out of the blue, a man from Nazareth gathered the unfree around him, openly speaking truth to power---

"Render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s and unto God the things that are God's."

Caesar, you reap what you sow. We're born free, and free we must live from this moment on.

Let Caesar chain himself to tyranny. Let us unchain ourselves from bondage, come what may.

Liberty for all or liberty for none.

For liberty the bell tolls---on Christmas Day.
