Again, I heard this first from Doc Martin. Toward the end, his arrogance,
condescenison, artless mien, all symptoms from an autistic and left-out
childhood, came back to haunt the doctor despite of his stellar service to Port
Wenn. The General Medical Council assembled for a hearing where professor
Langan, a former mentor, presided.
His jokes failed to enliven the opening. Langan's contenance fell.
"No, no. That was small talk. And I forgot you don't partake."
Then, the piqued professor menacingly intoned:
"Right. Well, let's get the show on the road, then, shall we?"
