The Nun's Story is a 1959 American drama film directed by Fred Zinnemann and starring Audrey Hepburn, Peter Finch, Edith Evans, and Peggy Ashcroft. The screenplay was written by Robert Anderson, based on the popular 1956 novel of the same name by Kathryn Hulme. The film tells the life of Sister Luke (Hepburn), a young woman who decides to enter a convent and make the many sacrifices required by her choice.
The film is a relatively faithful adaptation of the novel, which was based on the life of Belgian nun Marie Louise Habets. Latter portions of the film were shot on location in the Belgian Congo and feature Finch as a cynical but caring surgeon. The film was a financial success and was nominated for 8 Academy Awards.（From Wiki）

比利時其實並不大，從首都布魯塞爾延伸出去，周圍的城市都很近。與國際都市的首都相比，布魯日就如同一本打開的繪畫書，被稱為沒有屋頂的曆史博物館。此外，對於影視愛好者來說，著名影星赫本就出生於此地，這裏也是她主演的電影「尼僧物語」的舞台背景。
布魯日大部分建造於中世紀的建築被保存完好無損，使其成為歐洲保存最完好的中世紀城鎮之一，目前曆史中心是典型的中世紀古城，保存著大量中世紀至近代的建築。早期哥特式建築成為城市特色的一個部分，世界遺產。2002年它與西班牙王國的薩拉曼卡一起被選為歐洲文化之都。
布魯日市中心有一條著名的運河和同名的街道，這讓她獲得了「水之都」的別稱。在中世紀水運的便利促進了商貿的發達，伴隨多種原因，曾幾何時的繁榮慢慢衰退，如今她擁有的恍如隔世的景觀吸引著旅行者。
