The hairy eyeball

問好美壇的同學們:))

今天早上和我家領導鬥嘴，我給了他一個白眼，然後他說“dont give me that hairy eyeball.”

我第一次聽到這個詞，問他來由，他也不知道，我就是網上問究竟，結果發現下圖的故事還蠻有趣:))

據記載這個詞最早出現在60年代，大部分隻在美國使用，“The American-English phrase hairy eyeball, usually in to give (someone or something) the hairy eyeball, denotes an intent look. It is said to refer to the fact that when the eyes are narrowed, the eyeballs are ‘hairy’ from the near meeting of the eyelashes. ”
