he/she is in a corner of this world
near or far
not in an ideal world
but he/she is an ideal friend
brings rainbows in rainy days
silent in sunny days

不在理想的世界裏
但他/她是一個理想的朋友

Ideal World.

In an ideal world-------
I'm in a cottage by a lake.
A cottage,nestling against woodland.
I'm clad in denim.
I'm shod in wellington boots.
I'm tending a garden:
There's a dog [ perhaps two ] by my side.
And a wise old cat who lurks in the hedgerow.
I'm stooping amidst flowers.
Grubbing happily in the loam.
Contented:
In an ideal world ----
I'm in a canoe, gaily painted.
Out in the water.
A sharp - edged craft of native American ilk.
I'm watching fish rise.
I watch the wild duck bobbing.
I catch the sun on my paddle,
as i glide silently by.
Through water-lilies,through rushes.
Sometimes drifting with the breeze.
Unconcerned:
In an ideal world ----
I'm in a forest,bathed in dappled shadows.
I'm rustling through leaf litter.
I'm snapping twigs underfoot.
I'm listening to birdsong.
And the scamperings of small things.
There's a dog [ perhaps two ] roving ahead of me.
I am in awe of the greenness.
I am the watcher of bees.
I am brother to The Green Man.
