The word "Large" sounds very similar to "garbage" (垃圾) in Chinese. Back in university, one of my teachers always pronounced "Large" slowly and with great emphasis, which made us laugh behind his back. For example, when he said "a large company," it sounded like "a garbage company" (垃圾公司).
About ten years ago, a friend of mine told me that her husband had started a company named "Large." I smiled but decided not to share the story with her.
Today, I found out that the name "Large" is now up for sale—and it turns out to be a valuable brand! Haha.
