【One Idiom】Kick the can down the road

剛到北美的時候，都是租公寓房間住，對Kick the can down the road非常不理解。後來買了房子了，就有體會了。也不知道什麽時候那陣風把一些垃圾刮到自家門前，每次收垃圾時就撿吧撿吧一起收走。但也有些時候，就把不知道哪裏來的破可樂鋁包裝罐一腳踢開讓它順坡滾到下家。

The parliament never solves the problem of racist discrimination in our country. Politicians love to talk against discrimination, yet discrimination has never disappeared in our society, nor even reduced. The parliament is just kicking the can down the road.
