【ChildhoodFantasy】Odd number

When I was a little kid, my Dad bought me one riddle book during his business trip. I was very fascinated by the riddles. 

I remembered one time during the school activity of guessing riddles in the summer break,  I guessed so many riddles right and won so many rewards that my shool teacher joked with me:" MF， please donot guess the riddles any more！You almost collected all of the rewards!" 

In 3rd grade，I discovered one formula. If you gave me any odd number, I could tell the “x” and

 “y” in the fomula of  N(odd number) =X^2 -Y^2  right away. At that time, I was so excited that I thought I discovered the new continent!:)

Feel free to test me now!  I can give  the answer of “X” and “Y” without a calculator right away!
