中國人發明了保溫瓶 or James Dewar?

My parents brought a few thermal bottles from their hometown as they could not find this kind of product in Western countries. They claim that only the Chinese invented the product. As I talked with some Western friends or colleagues, I was told that the principle of such products came from the inventor (cited literature below).

What do you think?
