周一，美國達到了一個嚴峻的裏程碑，確認了超過1000萬例病例，並且幾乎每個州的病例數都在繼續增加。

On Monday, the coronavirus disaster in the US reached a new severe level: more than 10 million confirmed cases have been reported and the numbers are still counting in almost every state. 

我覺得裏程碑更多的情況應該是指代好的事情。
