be動詞 + being + 形容詞: 句型是指某人隻是在此刻是那樣子的(並非常態); (is/am/are) 剛剛或過去的某一刻(was/were); 這樣說有強烈的感情色彩;
比如剛剛朋友心情不好而說了些傻話,我們就可以說:You are being silly.
有人對我們說了不禮貌的話或做了冒犯的舉動

Be supposed to / should 的區別
Be supposed to – 是個被動形式,就是被期望,負有…責任;
Should – 更多表示主觀上覺得應該做什麽什麽;
比如I am not feeling well, I should see a doctor.
- Break – /breik/ v. stop functioning; 壞掉, 出故障
My computer finally broke.
- Sharp – here it means (time) precisely ;exactly at the stated time (時刻)…正好,準時地;
The performance will start at 7.30 sharp. 演出將於7:30準時開始。
- chicken out - to decide at the last moment not to do sth. because you are too frightened; 臨陣脫逃;因害怕而)退縮,放棄;比喻計劃好要做某事,但是到最後一分鍾卻退縮了。
chicken out on sb. – ( Inf.) to decide not to do sth. for or with sb.. 慫了,因為害怕,決定不為誰做什麽事情, 或者不和別人一起幹什麽
Jason chickened out on us and won't be going with us.
Jason害怕了,不跟我們去了。
- bail on sb./sth. - to leave, abandon sb./sth.(俚語 )拋棄,放棄

** 跟我們剛剛說的Chicken out不一樣的,Chicken out放棄的主因是膽怯, Bail on沒有限製。
