All said and done, many an expression taken for granted in one language often does not lend itself to a ready rendition in another. Hence, this standing advice to second language learners: Get into the habit of thinking in the second language you are learning (however difficult or awkward it may seem at first), and by and by you will have a much easier time expressing yourself in all kinds of situations.
