Thanks again for recommending the novel. It is really a very fascinating novel and is worth listening. Such a length novel also  tests my patience. I could not help listening to the end first.
I have a question about Sadie. Is Sadie alive or dead? 
Sadie is alive in 2011 since she dances with Jack at the ending of the novel. She has become an old lady and accomplished a lot in her life time. 
She was dead in 1963. Sadie and Jack overcame a lot of obstacles and raced to Dallas to save the president's life. Sadie was fatally wounded and died in Jack's arm.
