Just read it.

Charles Dickens was the master of English.  I did not read this book, but I enjoyed all the other books he wrote.  Guess what, I learned how to use comma from his books.  His sentences are usually quite long and complex.  It is not unusual that a whole paragraph may be presented in one single sentence in his books.  Keep your dictionary handy when you read it and enjoy.
