To the Slow Slow Tune by LI Qingzhao [Song]


Look look seek seek, lone lone void void, rue rue woe woe grief grief
尋尋覓覓，冷冷清清，淒淒慘慘戚戚
Though turning warm, cold ling'rs, rest hardest be
乍暖還寒時候，最難將息
Two to three cups of wine, how, could fend (night) wind (so) chilly?.
三杯兩盞淡酒，怎敵他、晚來風急？
(A) goose passes, saddening, (an) old acquaintance to me
雁過也，正傷心，卻是舊時相識

The Yellow Flow'rs in heaps, I so languished, now who else would pick thee?
滿地黃花堆積, 憔悴損，如今有誰堪摘?
(Alone) by window, how I'd bear such grief till night?
守著窗兒， 獨自怎生得黑？
Wutong a drizzle stand, till dusk, drop drop drip drip
梧桐更兼細雨，到黃昏, 點點滴滴
This temper, how could "woe" (delineate so) truly !
這次第，怎一個、愁字了得！


譯文和原文用同一個詞曲可唱，是這個翻譯的目標。同時也盡量兼顧韻和節奏。Yellow Flowers are Chrysanthemum; Wutong 梧桐 is Indus。覺得 chilly 比 gusty 更合上下文。必要的話， 省去 括號內字以便唱得順。 一樣道理，”delineate so truly” 可用”describe truly” 。希望得到指教繼續改進。
