1)      About writing:

“He seems to be taking a harder line in foreign affairs than his predecessors” è “on foreign…”

“The ones who emerge to the top, in addition to possessing exception political skills, must have exhibited the most ardent and unflinching loyalty to the communist ideologies.” è “… emerge at the top”, “ …communists’ ideologies/communistic ideology.”

“…he will stick to the communist principals” è “communists' principles” or “the principles of communism”

“Despite the problems, comparing to the other empires in Chinese history, the current regime (or empire) is far healthier than those of the past empires at the similar age.” è (1)”compared to” (2) “those of” is not necessary

Generally speaking, the wordy sentence structure “the fact that…” should be avoided in writing.  One is too much, but it keeps showing up in your writing.

2)      About idea

I generally agree with your analysis.  Never underestimate brainwashing capability of CCP, which starts as early as primary school, and is reinforced throughout China’s political and economic lives, seeping through every nook and cranny of China’s social fabric.

The indoctrination is so strong that the momentum of their propaganda has spilled over overseas, with the growing financial capabilities of CCP.  Therefore, you will continue to see some overseas Chinese who have never enjoyed free press for the most of their lives, protest like fools against “western hostile media”; who have chronically bashing FLGs because they are “annoying”, complain about racial discriminations, justified or unjustified; who have no idea what the democracy really means, demand respect simply because they appear richer now; who are so readily ignore the so called “progress” has been achieved through sacrificing the benefits of many people and at a dire cost of polluting the environment irrevocably, want so much the world to praise China’s achievement.

Darn, but who is getting the credit?

No matter who is ruling China, they must play this game, at the same time, curving out a backup plan by sending their heirs overseas with their well hoarded money.  As long as the Chinese government keeps printing money for building something, this façade of progressing would be enough for feeding Chinese as a form of patriotism aphrodisiac for years to come.  But someday, when the music stops, there has to be someone left without a chair.

The question is who this unfortunate clown would be?
